About the Position

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may vary based on need. The medication system in use is Omnicell. The documentation system is EPIC, and applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience with EPIC to apply. Patient diagnoses include spinal cord injury, amputee, traumatic brain injury, and stroke. The facility is accredited in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, and stroke. Patients must be able to complete three hours of therapy per day to qualify for the program. The unit is divided across two floors, with multiple beds available on each floor. As part of a large healthcare system, there is quick access to all necessary services, including rapid response and code teams. Special equipment includes ARJO lift equipment, Maxi Move, Sara Plus, and Steady. Travelers with at least one year of experience in the specialty will be considered. The unit values a collaborative interdisciplinary support team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. There is a daily census of approximately 41 patients. Staff may be required to float to other units as needed. All agency staff must float to other units and perform tasks for which competencies have been documented. Additional required skills include care and management of various conditions, patient teaching, and wound care.
