Overview

Metro Dance Academy is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Dance Instructor to join our team.

Classes include a variety of styles and combo-based instruction (such as ballet/tap, jazz/hip-hop, creative movement, and tap/jazz), with an emphasis on fun, confidence-building, and foundational skills. This position is ideal for someone who truly loves working with young children and understands early childhood development. We are looking for a versatile instructor who has a passion for teaching our youngest dancers, with the possibility of also teaching older ages.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing?

• • • Teach weekly classes for a variety of dance styles, ages and levels in a nurturing, structured environment.
    • Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that introduce multiple dance styles.
    • Use creative games, imagery, and music to keep young dancers focused and excited.
    • Foster confidence, coordination, listening skills, and classroom independence.
    • Choreograph age-appropriate routines for any level for recitals and showcases.
    • Communicate clearly and positively with students, parents, and studio staff.
    • Maintain a safe, patient, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching dancers of all ages
• High energy, patience, creativity, and strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to teach or introduce multiple styles in combo-format classes.
