Principal Programmer, Statistical Programming (Remote)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Principal Statistical Programmer to lead SAS programming efforts on clinical trials, mentor team members, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role combines advanced technical expertise with project leadership in a remote-eligible position.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAS code quality control and validate output from other programmers for accuracy
• Lead clinical sub-teams as project lead statistical programmer on assigned studies
• Create submission files and analyses in eCTD format including ISS/ISE documents
• Mentor and delegate tasks to statistical programming team members
• Participate in cross-functional teams developing standard operating procedures and process improvements

Requirements

• Proficiency in SAS language, Macro language, BASE SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS/GRAPH
• Intermediate knowledge of CDISC Standards and clinical trial processes
• 5+ years of biotech, pharmaceutical, or clinical research organization experience with M.S. or above; 8+ years with B.S.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
• Regulatory submission experience and knowledge of FDA/ICH/GCP regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences

Compensation: $149,200–$223,800 base annually
