Job Summary Group Therapist II provides inpatient functional assessments to patients across the lifespan range and facilitates individual and group clinical programming utilizing an evidenced‑based practice framework in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Conducts a brief functional assessment in relation to the patient’s reason for admission to support making recommendations of group topics, general safety, milieu engagement, and transition planning Plans, organizes and implements individual and group treatment activities using a variety of best practice creative therapy techniques and interventions in alignment with the multidisciplinary treatment team plan. Provides enhanced individual support (1 on 1) to patients identified by the clinical team under the guidance of the department supervisor Maintains timely patient‑centered documentation that reflects the patient and client systems’ pertinent information for assessment, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory licensing requirements and third‑party agencies Provides clinical therapy interventions to all patient populations Independently able to complete psychoeducational, recreational groups, and clinical programming Provides support to student interns along with providing task supervision to Group Therapists within their discipline and within the department at the direction and oversight of the creative rehabilitation services supervisor Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to determine the appropriate creative therapy services for individual patients (art, music, group, etc.) Qualifications Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, or other relevant degree LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, or CADC required LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC preferred Computer proficient Ability to assess problems, determine solutions and make decisions within a timely manner Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships within and outside their entity Develops and maintains cultural competence with an understanding of the history, traditions, values, and family systems of client groups as relates to health care and decision-making. Displays sensitivity to and awareness of the diversity in cultural groups and integrates this knowledge into their practice. We take great care of careers.
