Job TitleResponsibilities of the incumbent in this position include but are not limited to:Managing the day to day needs of an acutely ill patient population with spinal cord injuries/disorders (SCI/D)Fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.Medication administration and documentationCollaborative practice with interdisciplinary SCI/D teamApplication of principles of rehabilitation nursing care to promote the highest level of functional independenceAssisting in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.When appropriate, serve as the CCICM Lead Coordinator, acting as the primary point of contact for Veterans with moderate to complex care coordination needs and ensuring the delivery of seamless, integrated care across VA services, care settings, and episodes of care.NOTE: This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: 0730-1600 & 0730-2000, off tour rotations, weekends & holidaysTelework: Not AvailableVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
