Financial Controller | 110,000 - 120,000 + Excellent Benefits | Berkshire (Hybrid working)The OpportunityCpl are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, technology-led FinTech business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its senior finance leadership team. This is a critical appointment for a scaling international organisation, offering the opportunity to shape financial governance, reporting, controls and processes as the business continues its ambitious growth trajectory.Reporting into the CFO, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the global finance operations function, leading a team of nine across Financial Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Management Accounting. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership capabilities and experience operating within a complex multi-entity international environment.This role would particularly suit an individual currently operating as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or Head of Financial ControlKey ResponsibilitiesLead all financial control activities across multiple UK and international entities.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.Maintain and strengthen the financial control framework, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting capabilities.Take full ownership of the annual external audit process across the Group.Manage the preparation and submission of statutory accounts.Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory stakeholders.Ensure all statutory reporting obligations are met accurately and on time.Own Group treasury activities and cash management processes.Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.Monitor and optimise working capital performance.Lead covenant reporting and ensure ongoing compliance with banking and lending arrangements.Provide insight and recommendations around liquidity management and cash optimisation.Lead, mentor and develop a team of nine across:Build a high-performing finance function capable of supporting continued business growth.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.Support the CFO in scaling finance infrastructure, controls and processes.Partner with key stakeholders across the business to improve financial visibility and commercial decision-making.Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, systems enhancements and process automation projects.Play a key role in supporting future growth, acquisitions and international expansion activities.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Group Financial Controller or similar senior finance leadership role.Experience managing finance teams within a multi-entity, international environment.Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.Proven ownership of annual audits and statutory accounts preparation.Extensive treasury and cash management experience.Demonstrable experience producing rolling cash flow forecasts.Strong understanding of working capital management.Experience with covenant reporting and lender relationships.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.What's on Offer110,000 base salary.Excellent benefits package.Hybrid working model.Opportunity to influence strategy and build a best-in-class finance function.Clear visibility and exposure to senior leadership and investors.For ambitious finance leaders looking to play a pivotal role within a scaling FinTech organisation, this represents an outstanding opportunity to combine operational excellence with strategic impact.Discipline(s): AccountingJob type: Permanent
