Home and Community Mental Care, Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers therapists a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to children and familial support within the community of Springfield, Massachusetts. As a LMFT, you will play a crucial role in delivering in-community therapy that targets developmental disabilities and promotes emotional well-being.

This role is remote with the flexibility to conduct individual and group therapy sessions from your home or in our established outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Home and Community Mental Care, Inc., you will:

  • Conduct individual therapy sessions in the clients’ homes or group therapy sessions at our outpatient clinic, focusing on tailored treatment strategies.
  • \n
  • Employ evidence-based techniques to address and reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior and physical aggression, using methods such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training.
  • \n
  • Support families in developing effective decision-making skills to address behavioral challenges at home, assisting parents in implementing positive behavioral interventions.
  • \n
  • Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, along with other healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive support system for clients.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment processes including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to required timelines.
  • \n
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss case progress and collaboratively strategize next steps.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be engaging with children and adolescents ranging from ages 3 to 20, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with families, often acting as a crucial support system that encourages recovery and growth. Your bilingual skills, especially in Spanish or Portuguese, will enhance our outreach and support to diverse communities in need.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
  • \n
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours between 4 PM - 7 PM, with additional weekend availability being a strong advantage.
  • \n
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for client visits.
  • \n
  • Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, will be required.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Previous work providing positive behavioral support to children and families.
  • \n
  • Experience working directly with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • \n
  • Demonstrable skills in bilingual therapeutic practices, especially in Spanish or Portuguese.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a solid salary, you will enjoy:
