Property Coordinator

Burnett is very excited to be partnering with a leading commercial real estate investment and operating firm here in Houston! This firm specializes the acquisition, development, and management of industrial, multifamily, and adaptive reuse properties. With $2.5 billion in portfolio equity, they are heavy hitters for sure! Currently, they are looking to bring on a Property Coordinator for their busy NW Houston office. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with an outstanding company! The Property Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to property management, construction, and asset management teams across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including industrial, retail, mixed-use, and redevelopment projects. This role serves as a primary contact for tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of assigned properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. The role requires initiative, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Key Responsibilities Answer and route incoming phone calls as appropriate. Monitor and respond to shared email inboxes and general inquiries. Support accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and documentation. Assist with accounts receivable activities and tenant payment tracking. Foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and service providers. Assist visitors, tenants, and vendors with questions and payment-related matters. Prepare and maintain vendor agreements and service contract records. Coordinate maintenance requests and track work orders through designated systems. Monitor and maintain insurance documentation for tenants and vendors. Process and distribute incoming mail and correspondence. Provide administrative support and complete special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications, Skills & Competencies Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Understanding of commercial real estate operations is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and property management software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new systems quickly. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, or a related field. Experience supporting industrial, retail, mixed-use, or commercial property portfolios preferred.
