Details Outpatient oncology clinic setting within a hospital Medical oncology patient population Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with hours that may vary slightly No weekends or on-call requirements Cerner EMR experience required May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census Requirements Active RN license (IN or Compact) required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required Cerner charting system experience required Chemotherapy administration skills required Experience with continuous infusion, oral administration, monitoring, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy preferred Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and OCN certification preferred Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, neutropenic precautions, wound care, and tracheostomy care preferred Post-surgical care experience preferred Skilled in patient and family education and psychosocial support Additional Information Administer chemotherapy and provide comprehensive oncology patient care including monitoring and education Provide patient and family education along with psychosocial support Royal blue scrubs required Maximum RTO of 10 days; must work at least one of three major holidays if RTO falls during a holiday period Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous employees must have a 3-year gap before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-748516.
