Job Title: Business Continuity Senior Business Analyst 

Location: New York City

 

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3-4 days onsite per week) 

Duration: 9 months (with potential extension and conversion)

Not looking for tech who may have participated in Business Continuity

They are seeking someone involved with planning and documenting processes. 

Be involved with Table Tops, Operations Resilience, and Business Testing 

Plan out, map out, document 

Know how to plan documents. Know how to plan reports 

Work with the business to identify who should be involved with business testing

Work with the integration testing teams and operations resilience teams 

Not be a manager, be a contributor 

Bring ideas to the table 

Hybrid 50% onsite. However, in the beginning would be willing to come in 4 days a week

Preferred Experience

· Financial Services / Financial Institution experience is highly valued.

· Industry certifications are viewed very positively, including MBCP, CBCP, MBCI, and FBCI.

· Work Location Expectations

· This role is expected to be onsite approximately 70% of the time (typically 3–4 days per week) to align with the hiring manager in-office schedule.

· While there is some flexibility and this is not a strict 5-day per week onsite requirement, candidates should be comfortable with this working arrangement.

Job Description: Company & Team Overview

· Business Continuity Management is a component of The Operational Resilience Department and is responsible for strengthening the firm’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptions. The team manages the business continuity lifecycle, including major deliverables including Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans, BCP testing, Risk Assessments, and preparing reports on program health for management and stakeholders. 

· The BCM Team is transforming the legacy business continuity program to ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements and industry standards. This transformation involves both procedural changes to current practices, as well as enhanced deliverable templates. 

Role Overview 

· The Business Continuity Analyst will support key Business Continuity program activities. 

· Key responsibilities include: 

· The creation of enhanced test documentation, to include templates for pre-test scoping and logistics plans, test scripts for BCP testing, and posttest reports to allow for consistent and efficient execution of BCP testing. 

· Assist with BIA/BCP in-depth quality reviews to identify challenges, suggestions for improvement, and corrective actions to improve the overall quality of plans, including RTO gaps with dependencies (technology, third-parties, upstream workflow, etc.), potential concentration risks, and other potential gaps or inconsistencies that could jeopardize a timely recovery. 

· Development of an enhanced site plan template that will integrate existing BCPs, crisis communications procedures, specific site emergency procedures for life/safety, and specific on-site teams to ensure an orderly response at each covered location. 

· Assist with the development of a dashboard for tracking BCM related KRI/KPIs, associated issues, and required reports to provide an up-to-date quick reference to overall BCM program health. 

· Enhance various training courses (training for Business Continuity/Resilience Coordinators, general awareness for staff/new hires, site coordinators, etc.) to create a more thorough and effective training experience. 

· Support the development of BCP test scenarios for specific business processes. 

· Assist with preparation of BCP related metrics for monthly/quarterly reporting to management as well as monthly BCP stakeholder meetings. 

 

Requirements 

Experience & Industry Knowledge 

· Five (5) years of experience in financial services risk, business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery, crisis management, or related fields 

· Familiarity with Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and related regulatory requirements, including FFIEC Business Continuity Handbook, as well as industry standards such as ISO22301 

· Industry certification such as MBCP, CBCP, MBCI, FBCI, etc. preferred 

· Project Management Communication Skills 

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. 

· Experience creating policies, procedures, presentations, and other project documentation. 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a high-performing team. 

Technical Skills 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 

· Experience with Fusion Business Continuity, Everbridge, Power BI, and Archer software preferred 

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree required.
