Raytheon is seeking electrical engineers looking for a career in analog electronics, power electronics, power systems and servo/motor control systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong foundational knowledge of analog circuit theory, analog microelectronics, power electronics, and/or control systems theory along with work experience and hands-on laboratory skills.  

\n

\n

Raytheon radar analog and power design, product and production support engineering occurs in following areas:

\n

\n
• \n

  Power System Design - Power System Noise, System Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators

\n
• \n

  Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls

\n
• \n

  Power Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power Generation, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems

\n
• \n

  Power Sub-System Design - Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses

\n
• \n

  Control Systems – Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms

\n

\n

What You Will Do

\n

\n
• \n

  Work closely with a team of engineers to develop designs based on requirements, operational specifications, and RTX guidelines

\n
• \n

  Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion, analog circuitry or servo/motor control systems

\n
• \n

  Provide support to production, integration, and test activities

\n
• \n

  Gain greater mastery of analog and power engineering design

\n
• \n

  Demonstrate self-motivation

\n
• \n

  Travel to Marlborough, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA; and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.

\n

Qualifications You Must Have

\n

\n
• \n

  Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

\n
• \n

  Coursework in the following areas: Analog Electronics, Power Electronics/Systems, or Control Systems

\n
• \n

  Coursework of modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools

\n

\n

Qualifications We Prefer

\n

\n
• \n

  ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.

\n
• \n

  3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

\n
• \n

  Hardware development experience

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components

\n

\n

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.\n

\n

\n
