Paramedic - Emergency Department (ED) - PRN

Paramedic Position

The Paramedic functions as a member of the care team and participates in the care of ill and injured patients. Responsibilities include patient care, incorporating stabilization, and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director. The Paramedic functions as part of a team and shares responsibility for the team's conduct. The Paramedic fulfills education skill requirements as established by the Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required - or higher.
• Paramedic: Graduate from an approved Paramedic program is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Current certification by the State of North Carolina as a Paramedic is required (NC EMT-P Certification)

Pay Range:

• Paramedic hourly range > $21.53 - $31.38
• Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.

The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.
