What is a Store Manager?

As the senior leader of the store, the Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including customer service, sales growth, profitability, inventory management, team development, and overall business performance. This role requires a proven leader with a track record of achieving strong results through others, guiding teams from initial objectives to measurable outcomes while contributing as a key member of the senior management team.

This position is full time salaried with quarterly bonus and reports to the President of You Can Home Medical Supplies.

Job Essentials:

• Develop and execute store growth strategies that drive sales, revenue, profitability, and alignment with company objectives.
• Lead all aspects of store operations, including financial performance, cash handling, inventory management, retail presentation, and delivery efficiency.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop team members while managing performance, attendance, and ongoing professional growth.
• Review financial, sales, and operational reports to monitor productivity, measure goal attainment, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support local marketing initiatives and business development efforts to promote continued company growth.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, share updates, and foster team engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of management experience with a proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, and profitability goals through effective leadership of others.
• Ability to serve as a positive company leader by exemplifying our core values
• Demonstrated ability to hire, train, coach, motivate, and manage employee performance while fostering a positive, customer-focused, team-oriented culture.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive results from strategic planning through execution.
• Experience managing business operations, including revenue growth, cost control, workforce planning, scheduling, and customer service excellence.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong computer proficiency and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of the senior management team while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating company core values.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing customer service or retail sales.
• Prior experience in the HME industry and with medical insurance providers.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
• Operate computers, and other office equipment requiring dexterity in fingers and hands for data entry and input tasks.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Sit or stand for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
• Reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
• Frequently lift/move up to 65lbs
