MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Philips and Siemens MRI equipment and demonstrate proficiency in conducting a variety of MRI procedures. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Location

Position available in College Station, TX, and Bryan, TX, with floating between both campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations including MSK, Neuro, and Body scans for patients.
Start IVs and conduct creatinine draws as required.
Utilize EMR and PACS systems (Meditech and Synapse) for patient documentation and imaging.
Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Participate in team meetings and assist in training new staff as needed.
Respond promptly to patient needs and coordinate with radiologists for procedures.

Qualifications

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and as a Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT MR).
Valid Texas Medical Board (TMB) licensing as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
Minimum of 7 years of experience with 1.5T MRI equipment.
Strong understanding of MRI safety and imaging protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires call availability and may include weekend requirements. Shifts typically start M-F at 7:30 AM.

Dress Code

Professional black scrubs are required; scrubs are not provided.

Additional Information

Call-outs are discouraged and may lead to termination.
Department operates 1-2 MRI scanners per location.
Weekend and holiday call shifts are part of the work requirement.
Training and precepting may be requested as needed.
