Tulsa Trailer is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel / Shop Mechanic to perform diagnostic testing, routine preventive maintenance (PM), and advanced system overhauls on heavy-duty diesel tractors, commercial trailers, and specialized fleet equipment in our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing and repair on diesel engines, electrical/lighting systems, hydraulics, and air brake assemblies.
• Utilize shop-provided mobile tablets to access digital work orders, upload inspection photos, and log real-time repair progress.
• Conduct routine USDOT compliance inspections, preventive maintenance safety checks, and mechanical diagnostics.
• Perform component repairs and system overhauls on semi-tractors, flatbeds, cargo tanks, and dry vans.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere strictly to DOT and OSHA safety standards.
• Collaborate with shop management to prioritize repair orders and minimize client vehicle downtime.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of professional diesel mechanic or commercial fleet service experience.
• Strong working knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and diesel powertrain components.
• Familiarity with digital diagnostic software and tablet-based shop order workflows.
• Must own basic mechanics hand tool set.
• Valid Driver's License required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ASME R-Stamp welding experience is a strong plus.
