Job TitleHealth System SpecialistJob DescriptionMajor duties of this position include but are not limited to:Informs management with authoritative analyses, policy guidance and opinions regarding HPT appointment and on and off-boarding processes as it relates to HPE programsEnacts process changes with the Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) affiliate staff, facility leadership, clinical and administrative service lines by implementing SOPs, developing and administering training programs, and advising on HPE regulationsAnalyzes and synthesizes data from diverse data systems and sources to cross check, validate and present accurate and relevant informationTrains and guides affiliate staff in completion of the Trainee Qualifications and Credential Letter (TQCVL), including navigation of multiple data sources such as National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE), and Selective Service SystemUtilizes knowledge and experience in health care delivery systems to oversee and manage HPT experiences from start to finishPerforms a variety of duties and responsibilities in an academic health care environment that require many different and unrelated processes and approaches and differing regulatory criteria and proceduresApplies accepted analytical techniques towards the resolution of procedural problems affecting the efficiency, effectiveness, or productivity of HPE Office.Informs management with authoritative analyses, policy guidance and opinions regarding HPT appointment and on and off-boarding processes as it relates to HPE programsAssess unique situations to troubleshoot problems, make recommendations, provide subsequent evaluations and participate in future planning for HPE programs within a complex health care system, which includes employees, senior facility management, academic affiliates, and HPTsPromotion Potential:The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
