Description INNOVIM is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to directly support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the critical mission of the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA). Location Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance None available at this time Clearance Type DoW Secret Shift Day shift Position Closes 6/7/26 Responsibilities Build, configure, deploy, administer, maintain and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers/systems Ensure system changes are completed in accordance with developer documentation, configuration management and documentation practices Install, configure, and manage RHEL and other Linux‑based systems Perform necessary physical inspections and research using system/event logs and appropriate tools/software to identify problems, trends and aid in troubleshooting actions Advise leadership and make appropriate technical recommendations regarding system operation issues and improvements, optimization tools and methods, and process development Assist integration managers in problem definition and root cause analysis as needed Provide timely updates to appropriate team leads, managers and stakeholders on status of tasks and troubleshooting efforts Make recommendations to plan, develop and execute work actions that achieve critical‑path requirements Identify documentation errors and provide recommendations to appropriate personnel for correction Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document problem and resolution life‑cycle actions on faulty systems Perform evening shift work and weekend duty as needed to meet off‑hour mission activities Qualifications Basic Requirements Must have 8 or more years of general full‑time work experience, which may be reduced with completion of advanced education Must have 6 or more years of directly related experience in IT systems, installing and configuring operating systems and virtual machines, and troubleshooting Must have 1 or more year of experience working in a management or leadership role Must have experience with Multi‑Factor Authentication methodology Must have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems in a virtualized environment Must have administration experience on RHEL 8/9 using Command Line Interface Must be able to interface with software engineers, system engineers, and subject‑matter experts to solve complex integration and technical problems Must have a current DoW approved 8570 LevelII certification such as Security+ CE Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements Experience working with Ansible automation Experience configuring and managing NetApp storage devices Experience with security patching and software management using RHEL Satellite Network troubleshooting experience Knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations Project Management experience A degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline Compensation and Benefits This position is expected to pay $125,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
