Long Term Substitute: Paraprofessional/Educational Liaison

Job Description Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Paraprofessional/Educational Liaison to support students returning from extended absences through our SOAR Intervention program from September 1, 2026 until November 24, 2026 (or no longer needed). The candidate selected to fill this role will work under the direction of the SOAR Coordinator to help students successfully re‑engage with school by coordinating academic assignments, providing organizational support, and collaborating closely with staff in a structured, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the SOAR Coordinator to implement individualized re‑entry support plans for students returning from extended absences. Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to gather assignments, clarify expectations, and track student progress. Assist students in organizing, prioritizing, and completing academic work across content areas. Monitor and document student progress on assignments and communicate updates accordingly. Foster positive relationships with students to support engagement, confidence, and accountability. Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Experience working with adolescents (preferably high‑school students). Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to support students with diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities. Reliable, flexible, and team‑oriented.
