An exciting opportunity is available for a contract special education professional eager to make a difference in an elementary school environment. This position requires a proactive educator who is confident in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs, utilizing data-driven instruction, and working collaboratively with both special and general education staff. You’ll support students by providing inclusive and pull-out services while ensuring strong communication with families to drive student growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee Special Education teaching license or certification with all required endorsements
• Demonstrated experience in writing and managing IEPs, including progress monitoring and compliance
• Skilled in collaborating with general education teachers, service providers, and caregivers
• Experience delivering instruction in both inclusive and pull-out settings
• Strong organizational skills for compliance, documentation, and program improvement
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs for students on your caseload
• Plan and deliver specialized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals
• Utilize assessment data to track student progress, ensuring appropriate adjustments and interventions
• Collaborate with general education staff to support student inclusion and curricular adaptation
• Communicate consistently with parents and caregivers to build partnerships
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely compliance with state and federal special education laws
