1. Food preparation: Deli employees are responsible for preparing food items, such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, and soups, according to established recipes and quality standards.
2. Maintaining inventory: Deli employees must ensure that there is sufficient inventory of meats, cheeses, and other ingredients, and place orders with suppliers as needed.
3. Serving customers: Deli employees must serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking orders, answering questions about products, and making recommendations.
4. Maintaining cleanliness: Deli employees are responsible for keeping the deli area clean and sanitary, including equipment, utensils, counters, and floors.
5. Operating equipment: Deli employees must be proficient in operating equipment such as slicers, ovens, grills, and fryers.
6. Following food safety regulations: Deli employees must follow all food safety regulations, including maintaining proper temperatures for food storage and preparation, and keeping all equipment clean and sanitized.
7. Handling cash: Deli employees may be responsible for processing payments from customers and making change.
8. Stocking shelves: Deli employees may be responsible for stocking shelves with products, including meats, cheeses, and other deli items
