About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room (Hybrid) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, four days a week. Call one overnight per week and every fourth weekend. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Proficient in endovascular cases, open vascular cases, conscious sedation experience, and overall general OR cases. Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Using the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Duties: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, reviewing and revising it as needed. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services, utilizing resources appropriately. Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs related to care, treatment, and services. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor and preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes. Complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the Practice Governance model.
