If you enjoy technical problem-solving, working with advanced design tools, and contributing to collaborative project teams, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a company recognized as a Best Place to Work.What You'll Do:Prepare computer-generated civil engineering drawings and exhibits according to established company standards and proceduresDevelop layouts, detail drawings, sketches, diagrams, and construction plans for permitting and construction projectsCreate and revise drawings for civil engineering projects related to commercial development, subdivisions, and site planningComplete detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications, and written or verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programsAssist design team members with preparation of construction plans, exhibits, and graphics and complete simple calculations with guidanceFollow company CADD standards for layering, sheet layout, and drafting proceduresCommunicate with engineers, designers, and project managers regarding schedules, updates, and project progressContinue developing proficiency with CADD software for coordinate geometry, earthwork calculations, and hydrologic and hydraulic design tasksProvide occasional input regarding company graphic standards and drafting proceduresWhat You Bring:High school diploma or technical school training with coursework in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience using AutoCAD in an engineering or design environmentExperience using Civil 3D preferredWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applicationsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflowStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills and ability to meet project deadlinesClient service–oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWhy Thomas & Hutton?Competitive salary plus performance bonusCondensed work schedule for better work-life balanceTop-tier health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage401(k), generous PTO, holidays, and tuition assistanceThomas & Hutton University and hands-on Civil 3D mentoring to advance your careerSchedule: On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.At Thomas & Hutton, our mission of "Building Relationships and Solutions for Success" shapes how we serve our clients, strengthen our communities, and invest in our team.
