Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist will administer prescribed radiation treatments as directed by a radiation oncologist, ensuring accuracy, safety, and patient comfort throughout the treatment process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and established protocols
• Accurately positioning patients and operating radiation therapy equipment
• Monitoring patients during treatment and responding to any adverse reactions
• Maintaining detailed records of treatments, dosages, and patient responses
• Ensuring proper functioning and safety of radiation equipment
• Collaborating with physicians, physicists, and care teams in treatment planning and delivery
• Educating and supporting patients and their families throughout the treatment process
• Following all safety, regulatory, and radiation protection guidelines

Education, licensure, and experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy required
• 1-2 years of experience in a recognized healthcare institution preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation oncology practices
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
