Core Responsibilities

You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with acute medical and surgical conditions across all acuity levels. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Specific duties include triaging incoming patients, prioritizing care based on acuity levels, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the department. You will perform emergency nursing interventions including wound care, catheterization, electrocardiogram monitoring, and assistance with emergency procedures. Documentation will be thorough and timely, utilizing electronic health record systems to maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of care. You will educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity. Communication with patients experiencing pain, anxiety, and fear requires exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Must-Have Requirements

An active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory for this position. You must possess a minimum of one year of direct emergency room nursing experience, demonstrating proficiency in emergency nursing protocols and patient care procedures. Your background should include experience managing acute and critical patients in high-volume settings. Required clinical competencies include proficiency with intravenous therapy, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and basic life support certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is essential. You should demonstrate strong assessment skills, the ability to prioritize multiple patients, and excellent clinical judgment in time-sensitive situations.
