Job Description

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon to join our esteemed team of three Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeons and four advanced practice providers in Winter Haven, Florida- conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, including performing complex procedures, managing pre-operative and post-operative care, and contributing to our multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Perform a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and lung resections.
\n
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and determine appropriate surgical interventions.
\n
• Manage and oversee post-operative recovery, including patient monitoring and follow-up care.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pulmonologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
\n
• Engage in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of surgical techniques and treatments.
\n
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency surgical procedures as required.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Board Certification in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
\n
• Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
\n
• Valid medical license in Florida or eligibility for licensure.
\n
• Proven experience in performing complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
\n
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
\n
