Behavioral Services Therapist Trauma Recovery Center

Trauma Recovery Center Ambulatory/Outpatient Setting This position is in the outpatient Trauma Recovery Center. The applicant should have experience providing psychotherapy and other BH interventions such as CBT and motivational interviewing. Applicant should also have a basic understanding of case management, care coordination, and community resources. They will work with survivors of trauma and violent crime. Preferable training in trauma-informed care working with trauma populations. Responsibilities Provides evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Also provides individual, conjoint, group, and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. Education / Experience Required Master’s (or Doctoral) degree in counseling from a nationally or regionally-accredited institution of higher education, including an internship and coursework on human behavior and development, effective counseling strategies, ethical practice, and pertinent core knowledge areas. Completion of a minimum of 3,000 hours of post-master’s degree supervised clinical experience performed within two years. Certifications / Licensure Required Licensed Professional Counselor.
