Front End Associate

The Front End Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction is at its highest within our store. The Front End Associate is often the first and last person a customer will have any interaction with during their shopping experience. Front End Associates are responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing outstanding customer service.
• Operating Point of Sale Equipment.
• Taking responsibility of a cash drawer during the shift.
• Properly bagging groceries and loading them into customers' vehicles carefully and neatly.
• Stocking shelves and rotating items as necessary.
• Bringing in carts from the parking lot.
• Maintaining a neat and organized till.
• Filling bag stations and stocking registers with needed supplies.
• Picking up trash from the parking lot.
• Following security procedures.
• Performing night maintenance duties as directed.
• Adhering to company policy and local/state law on the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Work environment includes:

• Exposure to all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, ice and wind) as well as, inside work with variations in heat, cold, dust, and humidity.
• Fast paced retail environment.

Physical requirements include:

• Frequently moving, lifting, and carrying merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. Occasionally moves, lifts, and carries merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting with or without bearing weight. Occasionally required to climb and/or crawl.
• Stands or walks continuously throughout the shift.

Qualifications and other job requirements include:

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Minimum age requirement = 16 years old.
