We offer quality of life.We seek home infusion field nurses (RNs) with experience in various infusion therapies, venous access, and phlebotomy for cases throughout Staten Island and its surrounding areas.Nurses are critical to the healthcare services we provide directly to clients. We are seeking to hire registered nurses whose direct support, knowledge, skills, and expertise will enable our company to grow, adapt, and expand into new areas of home-based nursing services. This infusion homecare nurse would be responsible for conducting patient visits to initiate patient care, performing follow-up visits as needed, and precepting and evaluating the skills of newly hired nurses as requested. The infusion homecare nurse will partner with our infusion intake team to ensure seamless initiation of infusion care in patients' homes.Qualifications:Applicants must have at least 3 years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facilitySupervisory or managerial experience PREFERRED.Infusion experience is REQUIRED. MUST have experience infusion IV/SQIG and biologic medications!Knowledge of principles & practices of supervision, performance evaluation, and education.Knowledge of Federal HIPAA RegulationsKnowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.Ability to read and interpret clinical documents, including physicians' orders and treatment plans.Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary health care team.Job Requirements:NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration CertificateBLS necessary/ACLS preferredUp-to-date medical, inclusive of Physical, TB Clearance/QuantiFERON Gold blood test, 2-step PPD or T-Spot, or Chest X-ray and Habituation StatementMMR-Varicella Titers Lab Report or Vaccination RecordsTDAP Vaccine - Hep B Vaccination Series, Titers OR DeclinationUrine Drug Screen (UDS) - within the last 6 months is acceptable.Flu Vaccination (if applicable) or DeclinationTwo (2) forms of government-approved ID to validate employment eligibilityTwo (2) satisfactory professional referencesMalpractice InsuranceReliable transportationRegistered Nurse Responsibilities:Comprehensive nursing assessment skillsPIV, PICC, Mid & Central line care, and access competenceCompetence in implanted port access (MediPort, PermaCath, etc.) is a plus!Educate the patient and/or family in therapy administration via IVInfusion therapy preparation and administrationPatient safety, monitoring, and post-infusion follow-upCommunication with patients, families, infusion pharmacy, and medical providers as necessaryA successful infusion field nurse will collaborate with the infusion manager, coordinators, and other internal office staff. They will conduct on-site field visits to provide patient care and, upon request, supervise nursing staff competence. They must be able to multitask and prioritize work responsibilities. Time management skills are essential to the success of this role.
