Associate Mental Health Clinician (Pre-Licensed)Compensation: Starting at $30 per hour; paid bi-weeklyEmployment Type: W-2 Part-Time Employee; Non-ExemptSchedule: Build your own schedule - office hours include: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM; Saturdays 9:00 AM-1:00 PM | Requires at least one weekend day (option for both) and Friday in-office. 3rd day could be remote or in-office if working Fri/Sat/Sun.Location: This is a hybrid role based out of Ventura, CARole SummaryThe Associate Mental Health Clinician provides outpatient therapy services under clinical supervision while working toward full licensure. Success in this role includes delivering high-quality care, building a consistent caseload, and meeting all supervision and documentation requirements in accordance with state licensure regulations.Associate Clinician ResponsibilitiesProvide individual, family, and/or couples outpatient psychotherapy services under supervision using evidence-based modalitiesMaintain an active caseload of approximately 3-4 clients per day; minimum of 15 clients per week requiredComplete clinical documentation accurately and within required timelinesParticipate in required individual and/or group clinical supervisionFollow ethical standards, licensing board rules, and organizational policiesCompensation & BenefitsStarting at $30 per hour; paid bi-weekly$30-$50/hour for Master's Level Therapists401(k) retirement plan with employer match up to 4%Paid supervision towards full licensureCase consultation with colleaguesMalpractice insurance and all overhead expenses covered by the practiceBilling, credentialing, scheduling, and intake supportFlexible scheduling and telehealth optionsRequirementsAssociate Clinician Required QualificationsMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related fieldActive licensure (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) in the state of California (Active & Registered with BBS/BOP)Background in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT); can include practicum or internship experienceAbility to work under clinical supervision toward full licensureBasic proficiency with EHR systems and telehealth platformsAssociate Clinician Preferred QualificationsPrior practicum, internship, or clinical experience in outpatient settingsInterest in specific populations (children, adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.)About Positive Change:Positive Change Counseling Center is a compassionate, client-centered mental health practice dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful and lasting change.
