Maintenance Technician - Part Time

Job Location : This important role supports our Longwood Gardens Apartments (64 units Senior Community) located in Rockford, IL. Position Type : Part‑time, with on‑call availability to support residents for emergencies. Pay Range : Starting at $21+/hour – we believe in a culture of transparency. Maintenance Technician Overview As our Maintenance Technician, you will provide high‑quality service to residents, manage routine maintenance of the community, handle daily grounds pickup, and ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be the go‑to person for resident emergencies and will use the Maintenance Mobile app to receive and process work orders, receiving a stipend for your personal smartphone usage. Summary of Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents. Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24–48 hour expectation). Maintain broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Assist with court‑ordered "set‑outs" when necessary. Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3–5 days). Maintain grounds and curb appeal. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Be responsive to on‑call emergencies. Requirements 1+ years of related experience. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. HVAC training and certification preferred. Commitment to regular attendance, which may include weekend and overtime hours. Ability to be "on‑call" for emergencies.
