Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: 2 Years of Experience Required License: Active compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Blood/Blood Products Administration - Cardioversion / Defibrillation - Obtain 12 Lead EKG Description: Perm candidates of any facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. The manager is looking for a Cath lab nurse; however, will accept an interventional radiology nurse with IR experience. Candidates with no cath lab experience will be screened. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. There is a call requirement of one weekday and one weekend per month. Depending on staffing and vacation, hours can vary from 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, with additional days and weekends as needed. The focus is on cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology, including STEMI lab, interventional procedures, biopsies, GI, GU/renal, and peripheral vascular stent placement. Required skills include assistance with central line insertion/management, monitoring procedural sedation, and sheath removal. Additional skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and compliance with hypothermia protocol. Interdisciplinary support is available for patient care. Patient demographics will consist of adults and geriatrics. Please ensure that candidates meet the required skills and experience before consideration.
