Technician - Avionics Test Engineering

Security Clearance None/Not Required What You Will Do Assemble test stations and rack‑mounted hardware designs based on engineering drawings, providing constructive feedback to engineers to enhance designs. Execute modifications to test assemblies, such as cable harnesses, circuit card assemblies (CCAs), test fixtures and interchangeable test adapters (ITAs), to support engineering troubleshooting and development needs. Provide troubleshooting support to engineering teams, working collaboratively to resolve technical issues efficiently. Support software verification runs to enable and validate software release processes. Assist with assembly build jobs during periods of increased demand to meet project schedules and delivery commitments. What You Will Learn How to perform software load procedures on test station computers, including installation of operating systems, proprietary software, equipment drivers and necessary configurations. How to conduct Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for test equipment, including self‑test, ensuring all required test stamps are completed and documented. Knowledge of industry‑leading test equipment designs and testing procedures. Qualifications You Must Have Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Typically, an associated degree in a relevant field such as Electronics Engineering. Qualifications We Prefer Experience working with and modifying test hardware. Collins‑issued test stamp certification. Familiarity with Collins Aerospace workmanship standards. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance.
