Part-Time Prep CookIndian Wells Golf Resort, located in Indian Wells, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Prep Cook. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Pay Range: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)General Purpose:The Food Preparer is responsible for preparing various food productsEssential Duties:Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparationMaintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product dailyTransfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cartPrepares appropriate equipment for cookingOperates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food productsEnsures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of productsReceives and inventories food and beverage product and suppliesCleans and sanitizes work station and equipmentAbility to perform any other duties as assigned by Department ManagerEducation/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.Environment/Noise:Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather.
