Program Assistant-Continuing Education, Business & Technical Education, & Personal Enrichment (PT)

Job Title

Oversee on-going intake, registration, and testing activities for assigned program and monitor budget activities. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.

Essential Functions

Provide administrative office support for assigned program; establish and maintain records; compile data, prepare and submit reports. Assist with the development of account budgets and expenditure and revenue forecasts; track and monitor expenditures, identify problems, and advise as appropriate. Receive and organize documents; enter data into computer system; generate internal/external billings, ensure accuracy, resolve billing questions, and correct errors. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 1. Associate's Degree or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application. 2. Experience compiling data and preparing reports. 3. Experience working with account budgets, and expenditure and revenue forecasts. 4. Effective and efficient customer service skills. 5. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite. 6. Effective interpersonal and team-oriented skills. 7. Effective communication skills. 8. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. 9. Experience preparing purchase requisitions. Special Conditions: 1. The El Paso Community College is building a pool of Applicants for part-time staff positions. This pool will be accessed when an opening arises. Your application will remain active for approximately one (1) year from July 2026 to June 2027. Physical Requirements: Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
