The Role

We’re looking for an automotive technician with strong fundamentals, sharp diagnostic judgment, clean work habits, and pride in the craft. The right person communicates clearly, owns the quality of their work, and wants to help build from day one.This is a hands-on shop role inside a company with a much bigger technology mission.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, braking, suspension, steering, cooling, and powertrain issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, fluid services, batteries, belts, hoses, and brake work.
• Use scan tools, wiring diagrams, service information, and repair procedures accurately.
• Document inspections and repair findings clearly for the service team and customers.
• Identify and communicate repair needs honestly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Work with the shop team to deliver quality repairs on time.

What You Bring

Required

• 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience in an independent shop, dealership, fleet, or similar environment.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
• Strong mechanical fundamentals and methodical diagnostic ability.
• Experience with scan tools, service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software.
• Comfort working across brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, cooling, maintenance, and powertrain systems.
• Ability to document work clearly and explain technical findings in plain language.
• Valid driver’s license, professional driving habits, and comfort driving manual-transmission vehicles.
• Pride in the craft, respect for customers, and a bias toward doing the job right.

Preferred

• Strong experience with European vehicles.
• Electric vehicle certification or hands-on electric vehicle service experience.
• Exposure to Japanese, American, hybrid, diesel, or performance vehicles.
• Experience with detailed vehicle inspections and light fabrication is a plus.
• Experience helping build shop standards, inspection processes, or quality control habits.
