Charge Nurse (RN)

Position Summary Community: Osage Nursing Center Community Type: Skilled Nursing Location: Osage City, KS Shifts Available: Rotating/Day Employment Type: PRN/Full-Time Pay: Starting at $35-$38 Sign‑On Bonus: $2,500 Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. Responsibilities Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety Uphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies Qualifications & Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations Experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or senior living preferred Commitment Passion for resident‑centered care and team collaboration Alignment with Americare’s Mission, Vision, Home Town Hospitality®, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. Values Physical Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance up to 350 lbs.
