Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple schools in an itinerant Physical Therapy role. This onsite-only position offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals, making a tangible difference in students’ ability to participate and succeed in school settings.
Your expertise will help empower students to reach their fullest potential—whether facilitating individualized interventions, supporting accessibility, or ensuring functional mobility throughout the school environment. The assignment begins ASAP and extends through May 24, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
What you’ll bring:
- Current and active Physical Therapy license in South Carolina
- Experience or enthusiasm for school-based PT in a K-12 environment
- Comfort working in multiple locations (itinerant position)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Dedication to fostering inclusivity and student independence
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct physical therapy services to students onsite
- Assessing students’ needs and documenting progress in accordance with IEPs
- Consulting with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Developing resources and strategies for academic and functional achievement
- Traveling between multiple school sites within a defined region
- Participating in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development activities
