Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Pediatrics - NICU Level 4, Peds Cardiac

The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will provide specialized respiratory care within a Level 4 NICU environment, focusing on pediatric and neonatal patients, including those with cardiac conditions. The position involves a commitment to deliver high-quality patient care and to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients.
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care strategies.
• Participate in educational activities for families and staff regarding respiratory care.

Shift Details

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. There is a holiday rotation and a requirement to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care, with a focus on pediatrics, neonates, and infants.
• CRT certification is required.
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license is required prior to the start date.
• Experience with Epic charting is preferred.

Additional Information

The facility is a Magnet-designated teaching institution with a total of 865 staffed beds and offers a variety of educational and training resources for staff. Parking fees apply only for night and weekend shifts.
