As a Security Officer - Media Company in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic media and technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, guests, visitors, and vendors at a media and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, policy concerns, and incidents requiring follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
