Job Title: Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Buyer

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Buyer to manage the end-to-end supply of direct materials required to support our manufacturing operations. You will be the primary link between our production schedules and our global supplier network, ensuring that we maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing the risk of supply chain disruptions.
This is a high-visibility, "hands-on" role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for balancing demand signals, managing supplier performance, and driving continuous improvement projects to reduce inventory bloat. If you are a strong negotiator with a background in production planning and a drive for operational excellence, this is an ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Execution
• Demand & Replenishment: Analyze MRP demand signals to drive timely replenishment. Execute purchase orders (POs) and intercompany stock transfers to ensure production lines are fully supported.
• Supplier Performance: Monitor and manage vendor delivery performance. Drive accountability by tracking lead times, resolving ETA discrepancies, and mitigating risks of shortages before they impact production.
• Production Alignment: Participate in daily operational meetings to ensure that supply chain activities are perfectly aligned with manufacturing sequences and production shifts.

Process Optimization & Analysis
• Inventory Stewardship: Lead projects aimed at reducing excess and obsolete inventory. Analyze "line of balance" (LOB) data to identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues.
• Problem Resolution: Resolve systemic discrepancies in pricing, invoicing, and receiving. Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the digital records (ERP) always match physical stock.
• Strategic Forecasting: Prepare and communicate monthly forecasts to suppliers, providing them with the visibility needed to support our long-term production requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (OR 3+ years of equivalent experience in a purchasing/planning role).
• Industry Experience: Proven experience as a Direct Buyer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Strong analytical capabilities in Excel.
• Communication: Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, escalate issues through established channels, and present data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes
• Strong leadership skills-the ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Demonstrated history of implementing cost-saving or inventory-reduction projects.
• A "service-oriented" mindset; the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
