Job Description Compensation Base salary: $155"$175 per hour (plus nocturnist differential) Quality and performance bonus opportunities Final rate based on experience, training, and licensure, with attention to internal equity Pay transparency and room for future salary growth Practice Overview A multi-site hospital systemis seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a nocturnist role in a busy, well-supported Emergency Department. The group provides comprehensive emergency care to a diverse community and offers flexible overnight scheduling, stable volume, and strong clinical and administrative support. Emergency Medicine Team 30 Emergency Medicine physicians and APPs in an integrated department Focus areas include EMS, Ultrasound, International Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, and Quality & Patient Safety Residents from a nearby training program rotate through the ED, providing academic and teaching opportunities All sites use a single EHR platform for seamless patient care Schedule & Hours Core schedule: 24"32 clinical hours per week Overnight/nocturnist shifts with substantial differential Weekends required, with flexibility in structure: Option A: 28 hours per week with 1 weekend per month Option B: 24 hours per week with 2 weekends per month Physicians have meaningful input into scheduling and site assignment Requirements MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) Eligible for unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts Compensation & Benefits Package Competitive hourly rate plus bonuses Health, dental, and retirement benefits Malpractice coverage with tail CME allowance and dedicated CME time Paid time off Opportunities for leadership, quality improvement, and teaching Community & Location Access to Boston, the New Hampshire seacoast, and New England outdoor recreation Diverse patient population and strong community-focused mission Multiple hospital campuses within a coordinated regional system
