About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license. Certifications: Required certifications include OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM certification, NRP. Must-Have: - Epic experience required. - Ability to assist with vaginal delivery and circulate for C-section. - Experience in postpartum care and managing complications such as postpartum hemorrhage. - Competence in fetal monitoring and interventions during labor. Description: The role involves providing nursing care in Labor and Delivery. Nurses work with pregnant patients at any gestational age and postpartum patients within 6 weeks of delivery. The unit utilizes advanced monitoring technologies to support patient care. Responsibilities include recovery from C-sections and assisting in high-risk deliveries. Care will also involve monitoring and recording vital signs, medications, and patient assessments. Nurses will be part of a team providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns. Each nurse will participate in weekend shifts on an every other weekend basis. Availability to work every other holiday when needed is required. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
