Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python, GoLang

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 10+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, including production-grade AI/ML and automation solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and advanced knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, tooling, and cloud operationalization.
• Deep expertise in AWS services for automation and AI/ML workloads, including Step Functions, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SageMaker, Bedrock, Glue, EventBridge, and IAM.
• Proficiency in Terraform, including module development, state management, and multi-environment deployment patterns.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows, including evaluating, governing, and scaling AI coding tools for engineering teams.
• Ability to solve complex design and functionality problems independently, with minimal oversight, and take solutions from ambiguous requirements through production.
• Practical cloud-native experience and strong understanding of AWS security, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.
• Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools, defining governance and ways of working, measuring outcomes, and protecting sensitive inputs and outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, security, resiliency, and controls; ability to coach managers and leads and influence leaders on safe scaling practices.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL, Bash, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Preferred: Hands-on development experience in Java or Go.

• Provide authoritative technical guidance and architectural direction to stakeholders, technical teams, contractors, and vendors, focusing on workflow automation, AI/ML platforms, and cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Design, engineer, and deliver end-to-end workflow automation solutions and AI/ML pipelines, from architecture through production deployment.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review, debug, and optimize others code, using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted practices to accelerate delivery.
• Drive architectural decisions affecting product design, application functionality, and technical operations, including Terraform infrastructure-as-code standards across AWS environments.
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in AWS architecture, MLOps, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation.
• Define and uphold best practices for CI/CD, Terraform-based infrastructure as code, model lifecycle management, and automated testing across the SDLC.
• Promote firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices, including AWS Well-Architected principles, reusable Terraform modules, and responsible AI/ML governance.
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and cloud-native automation services such as Step Functions, EventBridge, SageMaker, and Bedrock.
• Establish and scale enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation practices across teams; set measurable expectations and ensure consistent validation, security, resilience, and reuse of proven patterns.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve efficiency and support capacity initiatives while prioritizing reuse of existing firm technology assets.
