Yard Associate

Porter / Yard Worker A role responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining maintenance schedules, servicing equipment, and inspecting equipment before and after rentals. Responsibilities Station and retrieve equipment on the location’s property. Maintain a written maintenance schedule and service equipment as necessary. Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost and/or damaged items. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred. Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral). Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). General mechanical aptitude. Safety-focused. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Related Experience Porter, Hostler, Yard Hand, Yard Jockey, Yard Spotter, Entry Level Mechanic, Mechanic Trainee, Construction Laborer, Washbay Attendant, Equipment Washer, Forklift Driver, Warehouse Worker. Compensation Base Pay Range: $17.75 - $22.55 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
