Senior Associate Underwriter / VP of Underwriting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Vice President of Underwriting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $200,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate nationwide non-recourse bridge loan opportunities for commercial real estate assets.
• Perform underwriting, valuation, and market analysis across diverse property types and asset classes.
• Conduct financial modeling and prepare detailed assessments of cash flow and property value.
• Coordinate due diligence and closing activities with internal teams, borrowers, and third-party consultants.
• Develop and present investment memos to credit committees and capital partners, highlighting risks and opportunities.

• A minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting or investment analysis.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques using Excel.
• Familiarity with market research tools such as CoStar and ability to interpret key real estate metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
• Advanced understanding of real estate finance concepts, terms, and formulas.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-starting approach to work.
• Intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
