Case Mix: Emergency Medicine – mixed acuity cases

Trauma Level: Level 2

Support Staff Available: Emergency Department clinical support staff

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Compensation & Benefits: Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

Required Procedures: Endotracheal Intubation, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement

Job Requirements:

• Licenses: Active AR medical license
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (BC preferred)
• DEA: Active DEA Certification
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Emergency Department clinical experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Academic Medical Center experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups
• Perform necessary emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine
• Coordinate care with consulting specialists and hospital staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the facility EMR
