Key Responsibilities

In the role of Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:

• Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out comprehensive evaluations to understand patients' physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs, utilizing appropriate assessment tools.
• Implement treatment plans meticulously designed by the supervising Physical Therapists to enhance patient mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional status.
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and utilize various modalities to address musculoskeletal and neurological conditions effectively.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure comprehensive and well-rounded patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, use of adaptive equipment, and proactive injury prevention strategies to empower patient self-management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities, enabling you to stay informed about the latest developments in physical therapy practices and pursue advanced certifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current California PTA License and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapist Assisting.

Compensation and Benefits
