Construction Project Manager (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced construction professional to serve as the primary on-the-ground liaison between a Lease Provider build team and an enterprise-level technology client. This is a fast-paced, onsite role requiring a self-starter who can independently manage multiple large-scale, multi-faceted construction projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mission-critical facility construction, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to drive projects from initiation through Ready for Service (RFS) delivery - all while championing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities: Serve as the single point of contact and on-the-ground advocate for managing a safe and compliant worksite Conduct daily site walks and report on construction progress, safety observations, and milestone achievements Manage lease providers and associated internal partner teams to deliver RFS for each lease site location Identify and manage construction deliverables and handoffs with cross-functional teams including E2E, Security (DCPS), Data Center Engineering (DCE), Data Center Operations (DC Ops), Site Selection and Acquisition (SSA), and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Maintain requirements stated in the lease agreement using client best practices and ensure lease provider compliance to contract terms Attend and facilitate Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and other project meetings, reporting outcomes as necessary Provide weekly project status reporting on scope, schedule, and budget to established DCD standards Apply influence strategies and negotiation skills to identify options and recommend solutions that drive project outcomes Facilitate decision-making to drive solutions, manage schedules, and implement change as required Drive deployment of solutions that can be socialized globally across DCD projects Coordinate meetings and activities of lease providers and internal subject matter experts Track lessons learned and identify process improvements to share across project groups Work independently in support of the broader DCD Project Team Embody organizational culture and values in all interactions and decisions Requirements: 5+ years of construction project management experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities 5+ years of strong communications experience in a PM or PMO-style role (PMP certification not required) 5+ years of construction scheduling experience Demonstrated experience managing large, multi-faceted projects from development through delivery Experience coordinating with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors or lease providers Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered PMP certification preferred LEED certification preferred Professional license in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred OSHA 30 certification preferred Strong construction project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in a PMO or PM-style environment Familiarity with data center cooling systems and mission-critical facility construction Proficiency with Bluebeam for document management and markup Experience with P6 scheduling software preferred Ability to read and interpret commercial lease agreements Construction health and safety knowledge including OSHA 30 or equivalent Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment Additional Details: Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite) Duration: 7 months Pay Range*: $77 - $87 per hour Weekly Schedule: 40 hours AGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all applications without regard to race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO)
