Team Captain Operations

Overview Team Captain of Operations leads store operations across both on‑field and off‑field execution, coaching a team to deliver strong execution across merchandising, pricing, signage, inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom processes. The role ensures consistent, athlete‑ready experiences and operational excellence that directly impacts athlete satisfaction. Job Duties & Responsibilities Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products. Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation. Lead company programs such as customer loyalty, warranty sales, and private‑label credit card enrollment. Collaborate with the SM and ASM to develop 30‑60‑90 day plans supporting business priorities, staffing, and operational initiatives. Execute plans and adjust as needed, using independent judgment to analyze effectiveness and maintain financial goals. Oversee opening and closing procedures, front‑end and cash office functions, and general store oversight when acting as the sole leader. Communicate departmental goals and assign workloads to maximize efficiency and meet payroll and financial objectives. Develop and lead a strong team, handling sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of direct reports. Provide coaching, feedback, development, recognition, and performance management, including annual reviews and promotion recommendations. Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, holding teammates accountable for compliance. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. 1–3 years of experience, with previous retail or customer‑facing experience required. Previous people leadership experience preferred. Offers are contingent upon a satisfactory background check, including ID verification. Compensation Targeted Pay Range: $44,500.00 – $58,500.00.
