Behavioral & Mental Health Clinical Operations Manager

Works under the direction of the Behavioral & Mental Health (BMH) Clinical Operations Manager to facilitate daily operations, including patient flow, staffing assignments, safe patient care, and to promote a healthy work environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This role in Full-time Night Shift at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a minimum of 1 year of people management experience.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of management/administrative experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience in pediatric and/or psychiatric nursing experience

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certification Summary

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
• Marcus Crisis Prevention Program Tier 5 training, or equivalent, within 3 months of employment
• Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire

• Demonstrates the ability to organize workloads and resources

Job Responsibilities

Practice (Caring for the Patient)

• Supports environment for delivery of care for BMH patients.
• Acts as clinical resource for BMH patient populations throughout all areas of hospital, including Emergency Department and inpatient areas.
• Maintains competence to provide and/or assist with clinical care, including acting as Code BERT lead.

Development (Fostering Clinical Knowledge)

• Participates in educational process related to delivery of healthcare.
• Maintains own professional development.
• Fosters professional development of others via constructive performance feedback, input, and coaching.
• Understands and supports Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's nursing career advancement program, My Nursing Career Path, as well as BMH Tech advancement.
